My little white gold heart fell off my neck twice around two years ago. The first time I found it. The second time, it fell off at work and I thought that was the end of it.
Shortly thereafter, the year of hell began with the smoke pouring into our old apartment.
Tonight, rat was at the washer/dryer, finishing up a load of my jeans and called out to me, saying he found something. He walked to where I was sitting and put a small object next to me.
You guessed it - it was my little heart!
He found it in the lint trap!
Now, we both KNOW those jeans have been washed numerous times during the last two years so where had the heart been all that time?
I said it was a sign - the heart left me before hell broke loose and now it has returned because things are better.
Well, not that better - we found out the lady below us (who turns 90 this month) will probably move to a retirement home next May because it will be cheaper to live there than here.
Before I found this out, I had heard lots of noise downstairs for two days and pretty much lost it, especially when I looked under the kitchen cabinet and saw holes LARGER than what we filled in over at the old place! I cried hard, lying on the kitchen floor, for over 15 minutes.
So we did some research about how more and more apartments are going non-smoking due to second-hand smoke coming through people's walls and the lawsuits that have been won dealing with the subject. I need to get doctor documentation and we hope to find a lawyer willing to do it cheap.
We're also considering moving in with my folks, not only to help them pay for their house but to get in a non-smoking environment. It would be hell to live there but we could also get some control over my mother's hoarding, which is worse than mine. We'd take control of the grocery shopping and cooking and cleaning out all the stuff my mother hasn't unpacked in years.
And the stuff that belonged to me? Time to learn how to use eBay and the tricks to work around them nickle and dimeing me with each transaction.
Thanks: --> to Lia, my sensei, who has inspired me to draw again. I
wouldn't be doing this without your support, Domo Arigato!
--> to Talon, for sending me her fabulous fics, inspiring me with her writing to draw my first
illustration for a story and actually liking what I drew.
--> to Dasia, for her words of encouragement when drawing her original chara.
--> to Joules, a wonderful epic fic writer, for liking my art enough to want to post them with Talon's
and her own stories.
--> to Lutra, the other half of the epic team, for being so supportive.
--> to Jacque' & Becca Raddittzu, we met on eBay as bidder and sellers and now we are face-to-face
friends. You showed us the real DBZ with your fansubs. It's all your fault the house is full of
doujinshi! *LOL*
